Personal Gourmet, Inc.

Glazed barbecue baby back ribs plated with a cup of sauce

Good ribs usually mean a whole afternoon: a rub, a smoker or a low oven, and hours of waiting. Most weeknights and game days don’t have that kind of time. If you searched baby back ribs delivery in Southern California, this guide covers the fully cooked baby back ribs we carry, three ways to reheat them so they stay tender, and how in-person freezer delivery compares with ordering takeout or a box on the porch.

Personal Gourmet is a family-owned company (Personal Gourmet, Inc., since 2001) that hand-delivers restaurant-quality food into freezers across seven Southern California counties. No order minimums, no contracts, and personal pricing based on what your household actually eats.

Note: We are not the Philadelphia “Personal Gourmet” brand that sometimes shows up in national search results. This page is about our SoCal in-person freezer service.

Baby back ribs on the live lineup

Our Baby Back Ribs Fully Cooked in BBQ Sauce are exactly what the name says: pork ribs seasoned with brown sugar, sea salt, spices, onion and garlic, cooked through and packed in barbecue sauce. The hard part is already done. You heat, glaze and serve. They sit on our pork page next to frenched chops, tenderloin and more. Confirm current options and personal pricing with a specialist. We do not publish a price sheet, and offerings can change.

Racks arrive individually portioned and vacuum-sealed, so you can pull one rack for dinner for two or several for a backyard crowd.

Three ways to reheat fully cooked ribs

Because the ribs are already cooked, the goal is to heat them through without drying them out. Defrost them in the refrigerator first. Our listing gives three methods:

  • Oven (most tender). Take the ribs out of the bag, put them in a baking pan, cover loosely with foil and bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes, then baste with extra sauce. For fall-off-the-bone texture, wrap them tightly in foil and give them about 40 minutes.
  • Grill (best char). Medium heat, about 7 minutes per side, basting with sauce near the end so the sugars caramelize instead of burning.
  • Microwave (fastest). Remove the wrapping film, cut a slit in the top of the bag and heat on high, roughly 4 to 7 minutes for a 1.5 lb rack or 7 to 10 minutes for a 2.5 lb rack.

Heat times vary by appliance and rack size. For reheating cooked foods, the USDA’s guidance on leftovers and food safety recommends heating to 165°F, and FoodSafety.gov keeps a handy safe minimum internal temperature chart.

Make them taste like you spent all day

  • Finish hot. A few minutes under the broiler or over direct grill heat after the oven gives the glaze a sticky, slightly charred edge.
  • Sauce in layers. Brush on a thin coat, let it set for a minute, then add another. Thick single coats tend to slide off.
  • Rest briefly, then slice. Cut between the bones with a sharp knife after a few minutes on the board.
  • Classic sides. Our listing’s suggestion is creamy coleslaw and cornbread. Corn on the cob, baked beans or a crisp green salad also work.

Game-day appetizer, weeknight dinner

Cut into single bones, a couple of racks turn into an easy game-day appetizer that disappears fast. Because they are already cooked, you can heat them during the pregame and keep them warm in a low oven. On a Tuesday, one rack plus a side is dinner in about half an hour, with almost no cleanup.

For a bigger cookout, pair ribs with grilled chicken breast or a sliced tri-tip. If your crew prefers chops to ribs, see our guides to pork chops and pork tenderloin, and for another slow-cooked favorite, beef short ribs.

Why freezer delivery beats takeout and porch boxes for ribs

  • Ready when you are. Ribs in the freezer mean you are not driving across town or waiting on a delivery app that shows up lukewarm.
  • Kept frozen the whole way. National shippers send meat in foam and dry ice by carrier. That is a gamble when a box sits on a hot porch in Riverside or El Cajon. The USDA’s mail-order food safety guidance explains why.
  • One stop for the month. Ribs, steaks, seafood and chicken can come on the same delivery. Our frozen storage guide covers how long to keep things.

Free in-person delivery across seven counties

We deliver free across Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties, seven days a week, with morning, afternoon or evening windows. A person walks your order into your kitchen and loads the freezer. See the service area page, or local pages for Los Angeles and San Diego.

Outside Southern California, we can talk about nationwide shipping with shipping and handling. That is a separate product from free local freezer delivery.

How ordering works
